Fascination's DYNAMO® Flashlight is based on this discovery. The first dynamo was comprised of a rotatable copper disc placed between the poles of a horseshoe magnet. One wire of the current indicator (galvanometer) was connected to the axle of the disc, and the other was connected to a sliding contact on the edge. When the disc was rotated, the needle of the galvanometer moved in one direction and remained in that position as long as the disc whirled. COLOR: BLUE
